WELDER BRANDS: This setup works for Truweld, Proweld, Midwest Fasteners, Erico, and Image light duty stud welder guns.
ITEMS NEEDED:
STEP 1: Determine the Arc Gun Chuck Adaptor you need.
STEP 2: Screw Arc Gun Chuck Adaptor into stud welding gun.
STEP 3: Place the Arc Chuck into the Arc Gun Chuck Adaptor. Hold the Arc Gun Chuck Adaptor and Arc Chuck in one hand and with the other hand lightly hammer or mallet the Arc Chuck to ensure it is seated properly.
STEP 4: Determine the size Arc Foot you need.
STEP 5: Determine the type of Arc Foot you need. Use a Closed Foot for stud lengths of 2" and shorter. For longer studs, use a Split foot to ease the loading of the stud into the gun.
STEP 6: Screw the 3/8" Arc Legs into the Arc Foot. The recess of the foot should face out. Leave the screws loose until you make your final plunge adjustment.
STEP 7: Slide the foot assembly into the gun so that Arc Chuck sticks out past the foot piece.
STEP 8: Insert an Arc Stud stud into the Arc Chuck.
STEP 9: Determine the ferrule grip you need. For studs 2" and shorter, use a closed ferrule grip. For studs longer than 2" use a split ferrule grip.
STEP 10: Insert the Ferrule Grip in the Arc Foot. Tighten the set screws.
STEP 11: Adjust the foot assembly so that the stud is centered in the middle of the Ferrule Grip. Tighten the leg screws.
STEP 11: Put a ferrule on the end of the stud and make the plunge adjustment. The plunge is the amount of the stud that sticks out past the ferrule grip not including the flux ball.
