How do I select the right stud welder for my application?

Generally, the diameter of the stud you are welding and your power requirements will help determine the right welder. Give our stud welding experts a call and we can determine the right machine based on your specific needs.

What is included in the stud welder rental?

The units included everything you need: Power supply, gun, weld and ground cables. If your job requires extra long gun cables, we supply at no extra charge. We also provide the welder accessories (collets, chucks, ferrule grips, etc) which are in addition to the rental fees. We provide additional accessories with the rental so that if something breaks, you can still get your job done. If you don’t use them, send them back and we’ll five you full credit.

Do you supply the pins and studs as well?

Yes, we stock a full array of CD and Arc Studs. You can find out in stock studs here. If you don't see what you need, give our office a call at 800-426-5667 to get a quote.

How do you ship the welders?

We usually ship the CD welders via UPS and the Arc Welders via LTL truck. Next Day Air options are also available.

What are the rental periods?

We offer weekly and monthly rentals. In the Chicago area, we offer 2 day rentals as well. The period is Dock to Dock.

How do I set up the welder?

We will set the stud gun up for your application and ensure it is tested before it leaves our facility so it will perform flawlessly in the field for you.

Do you offer training?

For customers who pick up their welders or we deliver the welders, our technicians are happy to do walk you through the welding process. We also send the welder manuals with the machines. We also do video call based training.

Do you also supply the labor to do the welding?

No, we just offer the rental welders, studs or pins, and accessories.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express), ACH and Wire Transfers.

What information do you need from me for the rental?

For a CD rental, we need a signed rental agreement and payment. For an Arc Stud Welder rental, we need payment, a signed rental agreement, certificate of insurance naming Hanlon Equipment company as the loss payee for the value of the welder, trade references from suppliers and power setup (230V or 460V).

What happens if I’m having trouble with the welder?
